I am so enjoyed reading this series and what you have achieved is remarkable. The loveliest wedding garb too.

Great story, thank you… would like more! A bed by bed, blob by blob account….

It will take time but I am fully intending to do my best to achieve that. There’s a bonus for us in revisiting it all ourselves.

I really dig this whole shtick. The arrival, the making (oh man, the creativity and the labour), the wedding (who isn’t into a wedding…even the coolest amongst us…and a knitted wedding at that: I have a mate who knitted her own daughter-in-law’s wedding dress which was all very bonding).

I do think the final bird bath by Charles is more pleasing. And I don’t think the blobs are too big (I mean, I’m a kind of stranger to ‘too big’).

Very good Euphorbia (one of my all time favourite plants).

That’s great support! Fantastic and thank you. And yes, the current bird bath (final would be good) is the best we’ve had, even if it has acquired a little lean……

I've been gardening on my 2 acres for 39 years too. What a long strange trip it's been.

I never thought it would look as nice as it does.

I love your posts and your gardens and find inspiration here. Thank you.

I love your wedding outfit. Its original and really suits you. I did know bits and pieces of the Veddw story but reading this I'm staggered by the scale of the idea you took on,and you didn't have a big budget, heavy machinery or other advantages. When I saw Veddw years ago it was still in development and you had big areas of "easy grow " plants and it looks like youve gradually got it all under control.

Never under control! That’s not in the nature of the garden, but, with various setbacks, I do believe it improves every year.

Thanks re wedding outfit. I’m astonished now that I made it in green - isn’t that supposed to be unlucky??

The changes and developments over the years are truly staggering to see. Your ability to see how plants will grow and structures changes is impressive. Add the photos and the results are a true delight.

Thank you - 37 years is a lot of learning time, esp when the place is under almost daily examination. So happy you’re enjoying the account of it all.

You're on the money: garden making cannot be done simply. Your hard work and mistakes make that clear. BTW...I agree... Beautiful knitting.
