Definitely looking better than last time I saw it (love the tulips), but how I love reading between your lines.

Thank you for your post . I have not yet visited Laskett, I work at York Gate Garden , Perennials first donated garden. It’s interesting to see your view on it. I do believe new planting schemes are in the pipeline.

Well, it's a credit to Perennial - and we'll call again to see the new planting.

This is such synchronicity as just a few days ago I went past the turning to this garden off the main road as I was on a bus from Hereford to Gloucester. Thanks to Google maps I could see the famed garden was near enough to reach on foot from the bus stop near the turning so I intend to do that one day in the summer. These lots of photos are fab and really show this garden in its intricacy. Keeping all those hedges trimmed would not be my idea of fun but luckily the professionals are in charge so they can do it! Yes,it's interesting to have a "sideways" view. That open space is a bit 70s council house,it's those patio slabs, just like we had,but they are long lasting and serviceable. I've read several of Sir Roy's books and enjoyed them all. I wonder if the "vibe" or ambience is diluted now it's not a personal garden. This happens. This garden is very theatrical and like a showcase which is of course exactly how it was planned, designed and created to be. Thanks for the view of it,both in words and pictures.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how it develops under its new owners - and it sounds as if you are near enough to call in and watch its progress.
