Apart from flinging round some mulch on rare fine days, I do not wish to see or engage with my garden between Bonfire Night and St Valentines Day. That is sewing, mending and decluttering season, with a good dose of reading by the fire or doing eff all. I will never have a cornus in my garden, and no early flowering shrubs like forsythia, magnolia, lonicera fragrantissima or ribes. I might consider a daphne...damn...now I am thinking about the garden! Seeds bought, plans considered...now back to my book.
I'm in total agreement. There are few things worse than chilled to the bone fingers. Whatever there is that could possibly be done in January can wait until after Valentines Day or until I feel like it.
a bit late getting to this but love it. could do a whole column of my own on this one subject.
Hardly too late - the issues don't change!

Yes, I am with you ! We should lead a rebellion 😄
Great idea. (But might that involve going outside to have the rebellion?)
Don't worry, we can unite in our own living rooms, in front of the fire 😀
I guess that's what the internet is for?
